At Devereux as a Clinician you will impact the individuals you are working with by implementing appropriate treatment plans and interventions to unlock their full potential on a daily basis.

Everyday as a Clinician you will....

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments

  • Develop, implement and monitor treatment plans and interventions

  • Facilitate individual and Family Therapy sessions

  • Provide Functional communication Training

  • Collaborate with all members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team

  • Serve as an Autism Coach within Devereux's PBIS model, engaging in training and consultation with direct care staff

  • Collect and analyze data

The Clinician role is a full-time position working within a Residential Treatment Facility for Children ages 6-21 years with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities located in West Chester, PA.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: M.A./M.S. in Clinical Counseling, School Psychology, or related psychological field. Educational training meetsstandards for providing clinical services in Pennsylvania under supervision.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and two years experience working with individuals with intellectualand developmental disabilities required. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel),experience with data collecting/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applicationspertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task, to maximize efficiency. Excellent oraland written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, andadhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
