Being a Admissions Manager for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) at Devereux PA Children's Services has its Advantages!

As a Admissions Manager at Devereux PA Children's Services, you will work with other dedicated professionals internally and externally who share your passion for helping others, and ensuing a fluid collaborative Admissions process to ensure the proper residential services are being provided to the children we serve.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) provides a rich, evolving continuum of 24-hour, out-of-home residential services for children and adolescents living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. A team of caring, talented staff is dedicated to helping each individual achieve social, emotional, behavioral and educational goals, and return home to their local communities.

Our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program provides each child, and their families, with the skills and resources needed to reach the greatest level of personal happiness and success. Our residential homes and cottages reflect a warm, home-like setting. This approach not only provides a safe, dignified environment for the children, but it also offers opportunities for experiential learning, where children can practice life skills needed as an adult, from cooking and cleaning, to positive communication, conflict resolution, cooperation and compromise. Children and adolescents served by our residential programs attend the educational program that best suits their needs. These options include: public schools, intermediate unit programs, the Brandywine School, Mapleton School, Devereux School for Integrated Learning, or CARES.

Every day as a Admissions Manager you will...

  • Supervise overall operations of the PRTF admission department in accordance with internal and external requirements and regulations

  • Serve as liaison between Devereux, funders, and referral sources to addresses areas of concern and ensure efficient access to services

  • Act as a source of information, support, and acts as a conduit between parties

  • Provides supervision and guidance to departmental employees by communicating and ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory and funder policies and procedures

You will be offered:

  • Compensation: $ 60,000 - $ 68,400 /yr

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day time hours, but flexibility is required base on the needs of program admissions

Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree required in public relations, communications, human services or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of Admissions experience and Two (2) years of prior supervisor experience required. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
