Devereux PA Children's Services (DPACS) is seeking a full time Hospital Director for the Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) located in Malvern, PA. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) is the only freestanding children’s psychiatric hospital in Chester County, Pa. We are a Joint Commission accredited psychiatric inpatient hospital providing services to children and adolescents, ages five to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Our treatment teams, which include psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, licensed psychologists and clinical social workers, along with the family and child, work together to create a safe, stabilization and treatment plan that focuses on successful discharge of the child back to his or her community, or a lesser level of care. The majority of children stay at DCBHC between three days and 21 days. Diagnoses may include: suicidal gestures and attempts, cutting and self-injurious behaviors, depression, aggression, psychosis, autism spectrum disorders, and/or drug and alcohol issues.

This position will be responsible administer and coordinate, hospital operations to provide safe and effective programs and services for patients and their families. Management of the fiscal budget to include bed utilization, FTE planning/utilization and monitors other operational expenses and sources of revenue. Oversight of activities that enhance referral development. Facilitates cooperation with other departments/functions of the treatment team and/or administrative support services. Provides supervision and guidance to all employees by communicating and ensuring compliance with organizational/center standards and licensing requirements. Creates a work environment that encourages learning, skill acquisition, quality performance, and employee development.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (DCBHC), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master’s degree required.

EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years of previous supervisory experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
