Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia offers unique programs for intensive residential treatment on our campus, specifically, for youth ages 10 to 21 who are facing significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Each program is based on various assessments and criteria of the individuals we serve. Our Journey Unit is designed for our male adolescent and young adult population, ages 14 - 21, who are diagnosed with Intellectual and Development Disorder (IDD).

*Hours: Exempt position - Typically 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. On-call, some weekend and holiday availabities.

*Starting pay: $50,000 Annually. Additional compensation for Experience & Master's degree or higher.

Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all services related to the Journey Unit. You will work closely with other program and department managers, including our Education, Clinical and Recreational teams, to ensure quality of services, appropriate treatment and assessment for our clients. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of our individuals.

  • Attend treatment team meetings and actively engage in programming, fiscal and personnel activities for the Journey Unit.

  • Participate in the hiring, supervising, coaching, and mentoring of our Direct Support Professionals who work on our campus.

  • Continuously provide expertise and support to the Devereux continuum of care including residential, community based programs, and treatment foster care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in the field of counseling, mental health, social work, psychology/sociology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field required. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years experience in residential-based treatment facilities including management experiences, planning, resource allocations, staffing, budget, training, and performance management, specifically serving children and adolescents required. Direct work and management experience with behavioral healthcare, specifically children and adolescents preferred. Intellectual and Developmental Disorder (IDD) background preferred.

Other qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; leadership, relationship management, and multi-tasking skills are required.

  • Strong technical skills and ability to utilize in-house computer applications.

  • Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.

  • On-call, weekend availability and some holidays required.

  • Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.
