You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The Head Teacher provides supervision and support to on-site Special Education Teachers working in our Autism / IDD program at our CARES School located in Downingtown, PA.

Pay-rate: $64,773 - $73,841.22 (based upon experience)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year-round position).

Every day as a Head Teacher you will:

• Assist in the development / implementation of the administration of the school program

• Oversee cases and be the liaison to school districts

• Provide Guidance, Support, and act as a mentor to other teachers

• Be an active member of the leadership team within the school

• Implement IEP case management

Center for Autism Research and Educational Services (CARES), located in Downingtown, PA is seeking Instructional Support Specialists to provide direct behavioral intervention to student. We offer an environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused. This position will give you the opportunity to work directly with children diagnosed with Autism 1:1 within a structured classroom environment with Special Education Teachers, Behavior Analyst and Autism professionals. You will increase your knowledge and improve your skills related to behavior intervention, functional assessment and collaboration with a team that is inclusive and individualized.CARES serves up to 60 children, ages 5 through 22, with a confirmed primary diagnosis of Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD/NOS).

Qualifications

EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Special Education and current Instructional I or II PA special education certification. PA Educational Supervisory Certificate (or demonstrated progress toward the attainment of said certificate) required.

EXPERIENCE: Three years teaching experience required.
