Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides services to adolescents and adults with Autistim, IDD and/or significant emotional and behavioral health needs who live on-site in residential group homes. Located in Winter Park FL, this position is the on-site RN and is responsible for oversight of the program's on-site medical activities. Responsibilities include conducting medical reviews, ensuring quality of care, and consulting and coordinating information with other members of the care team including the Psychiatrist and Program Manager. This position does not have direct reports but does have the responsibility of leading and managing medical activities of direct support staff. Scope of responsibility includes up to 36 beds across 4 locations in Winter Park and Orlando area. Local travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • Technical Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution required

  • Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of FL or multi-state licensure required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing BSN preferred

Experience:

  • 1 year of Nursing experience required

  • Prior nursing experience with adolescents and adults with special needs, autistic and/or intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred

Other:

  • 21 years of age or older required

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Must be able to participate in a 2 week new hire orientation class, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm ET at our HR office in Orlando (near MCO International Airport)

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, dayshift
