Devereux staff will work at the Mount View Youth Services Center (MVYSC) is a secure, co-ed multi-purpose facility operated by the CDHS Division of Youth Services (DYS). The strategic goal of DYS is to operate healthy trauma-responsive organizational environments as demonstrated through prosocial, safe, and non-violent interactions. Devereux staff will be integrated into the environment and work collaboratively to build and maintainn safe and truama responsive environments.

The Clinical Psychologist functions as an Assistant Clinical Director and works collaboratively with MVYSC clinical director to ensure integrated services aligned with the departments strategic vision. Provides clinical expertise across MVYSC and provides supervision for contract behavioral health staff (clinicians) in the coordination and delivery of trauma responsive practices and care. Will provide oversight of the daily operational functions in conjunction with other members of the management team as indicated by the Clinical Director. May carry a small caseload and serve as a coverage clinician for clinical staff when there are vacancies. Is part of the agency’s mental health on-call rotation. Will assist in creating and monitoring data related to clinical outcomes, trends, and compliance with documentation guidelines. Monthly data reports will be completed and submitted to the Director. Will work directly with clinical staff as to time management and documentation issues, daily operational issues and ensuring compliance. Will assist with the implementation and training of clinical curriculum and program development as indicated by the Clinical Director and or leadership team.
Maintain thorough knowledge of DYS clinical services standards, and assist in monitoring clinical team with compliance. Other duties as assigned. Responsible for staff compliance with contract expectations as well as Devereux and DYS policies and procedures, prudent fiscal management of contract related budget, implements initiatives aligned with strategic goals of the integrated model, personnel management including hiring, evaluations, time cards, performance management, issue resolution, training, coaching and professional development for Behavioral Health Staff. Demonstrates teamwork, effective communication, inclusion and presence in order to deliver a comprehensive treatment environment. Is a member of the leadership team, attends meetings as required by Devereux and MVYSC and serves on committees as needed.

-Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology.
-Must be a pyschologist in the state of Colorado.
-Maintain a professional license in the state of Colorado.
-Experience with children or adolescents in residential, inpatient or secure setting.
-Experience in trauma, gender specific, substance abuse, sexual offending behaviors or other behavioral health work is required.
-Experience supervising clinical staff (preferred).
-Expertise in neuropsychological and trauma assessment.
-Demonstrate strong assessment, clinical formulation, and treatment planning skills.
-Exhibit effective interpersonal and communication skills within a multi-disciplinary treatment team as well as with external parties.
-Ensure that safety and risk-management considerations are addressed in a manner consistent with agency policies, procedures and approved practices.
