Being a Staff Accountant has its Advantages

As a Staff Accountant at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion to demonstrate the skills needed to develop and manage a high quality of service to Operations and support partners.   • Responsible for the timely and accurate review and corrections of the expense process by establishing and complying with all related policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Assisting on budget creation for new programs and additional staffing needs as need, as well as annual budgeting process in accordance with all related policies and procedures.

  • Tracking and reporting on underperforming programs, as well as cause of underperformance.

  • Also responsible for monthly reporting of financial information to Operational and Department Managers.

  • Required to interface with Operational Managers and the center Leadership team as needed.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey provides programs and services for children, adolescents, and adults with IDD. Located in West Deptford, NJ this position is responsible for exhibiting experience for a broad range of fiscal duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

  • Requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience and knowledge of health care service delivery systems and third party reimbursement, including general ledger functions, account reconciliation and collections.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to team environment, and have strong problem solving and analytic skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Requires an ability to work independently, and an ability to make prompt and accurate decisions.

  • Must have strong time management skills, attention to detail, be flexible and possess exceptional customer service skills.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, including Excel, and other data base management applications.
