Devereux is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for assisting with the payroll processing systems, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, garnishments, taxes, and other miscellaneous deductions. This role will ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, transfers, schedules, pay rate changes, stipends and bonuses.

The Payroll Manager will be based in Cherry Hill and reports to the Payroll Manager.
This position will be required to complete accurate records and reports of payroll by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions and accruals. Provide reports as needed for the operations departments Resolve payroll accounts by processing payroll discrepancies and inaccuracies. Warrant timely follow-through on employee request affecting payroll-related issues including w2, tax information, unclaimed checks, return direct deposits, and other pay related issues.Maintains employee record maintenance by entering of data, reviewing new hires, terminations, transfers and schedules. Review employee records for accuracy in exemptions, job titles, and department transfers, update where needed. Also, update employee tax information, direct deposit and costing allocations. Facilitates audits by providing documentation to auditorsKnowledge of and complies with local, state and federal requirements, laws and regulations and ongoing changes to laws, includes but not limited to FLSA (fair labor standard Act), FMLA, Disability and Workers Compensation requirements. Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.Train new hire and Managers/Directors on the Kronos payroll systems.Supervise Payroll Specialist to ensure their successful performance in serving the Payroll Department.
May be required to work one weekend day as needed.

Maintain professional knowledge of ongoing payroll changes
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related feild preferred.
Experience: Three to five years of related Payroll/ Human resource experience.
