The Director of Marketing and Business Development position is a remote position and reports directly to the Executive Director.
As our Director of Marketing and Business Development at Devereux New Jersey YOU will:
Provide oversight and leadership for all of our marketing, communications, business development and admissions functions, in alignment with our strategic marketing and growth plans.
Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey (DABHNJ) brand identity, broaden awareness of its programs and priorities, and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholders in collaboration with our National partners
Create marketing/public relations strategy that will allow DABHNJ leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including the media and key influencer's.
Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with the Executive Director and leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions
Perform market research and analysis, provide marketing advice, counsel and general marketing support to programs as needed.
Oversee development of all DABHNJ print communications including marketing collateral materials and electronic communications including website and new media in collaboration with our National partners. Manage relationships with associated vendors.
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the communications function including budgeting, planning and staff development.
Manages the operations of the admissions process of the individuals we serve
Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and build long-term relationships.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business,Health-care or Marketing required. A master’s degree in business administration or advertising management preferred.
Minimum of three years' marketing experience in business, preferably in a health-care setting, including at least two years as a manager/director.
A credential such as the AMA Professional Marketer Certification (or similar) preferred
Evidence of successful completion of professional development programs designed to enhance knowledge, skills and abilities closely related to the duties of the position
Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, customer service and relationship building
Outstanding ability to work collaboratively with people from many different backgrounds
Demonstrates knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and other database tools.
Must demonstrate a commitment to a team environment, and have strong problem solving and analytic skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requires an ability to work independently and within a team environment. Possesses the ability to make prompt and accurate decisions.
