PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Devereux PA Children’s IDD Services, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, provides a variety of assessment, treatment, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges.

Program Coordinator in Greenway from 2pm-10pm

  • This is a male unit with approximately 11 clients that range in age from 18-21 years old that are on the spectrum with Autism.

Program Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Provides primary first-line supervision for staff and students during assigned shift.

  • Supervises direct care staff in the delivery of programming and client supervision.

  • Assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all quality program components, the planning and supervision of all residential programming, activities, and schedules and in monitoring the daily operation of assigned programs to include client fiscal matters, physical plant and equipment, and FTE utilization.

  • Assists in program communications with families and outside agencies.

  • Demonstrates ability to establish systems and measures to ensure a safe environment, identify risk to applicable customers and take appropriate interventions.

  • Responsible for responding to emergency situations and implementing appropriate procedures.

  • Demonstrates ability to investigate, intervene and resolve complaints as well as seek appropriate resources to solve problems.

  • Actively participates to reinforce a safe environment and implement changes within scope of responsibility.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PA Children’s IDD Services, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, provides a variety of assessment, treatment, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges. Services are provided in residential programs, specialized treatment foster care homes, an approved private school, and an Autism Assessment Center. Assessment and interventions are based on best practice standards for the clinical populations served. Research, quality improvement, and training activities at the CIDDS are also supported by our national Institute of Clinical and Professional Training and Research in Villanova, Pennsylvania. The overarching goal of Devereux CIDDS is to provide services to support the development of necessary skills so that each referred individual can maximize his/her potential and live as productive, socially connected, and personally fulfilled member of his or her community.

Requirements

  • 60 COLLEGE CREDITS in Human Services or related field required.

  • One year supervisory experience in a residential treatment or health care setting preferred.

  • One year of direct care work required.

  • Must possess and maintain valid driver's license, and be at least 21 years of age.

  • Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children with special needs.
