JOB SUMMARY: Provides primary “first-line” supervision for staff and clients during second shift, 2pm-10pm. Schedule is one day off each week and required to work every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PA Children’s IDD Services, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania , provides a variety of assessment, treatment, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen , a screen ing that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

EDUCATION: Associates Degree or credit equivalent in Human Services or related field required with a desire to pursue a
EXPERIENCE :One year supervisory experience in a residential treatment or health care setting preferred; one year of
direct care work required. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data
collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize,
manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to administer CPR. Ability to administer first aid. Ability to properly restrain adolescent/adult clients. Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, and pushing/pulling (1/2 to 3/4 of the workday). Seldom requires sitting. May require lifting up to 50 lbs. (1/4 - 1/2 of the workday). Requires repetitive wrist/hand movement (3/4 to 4/4 of the workday). Requires continuous normal hearing (40-60 decibels or 40-60 decibels with correction), and (vision 20/20 or 20/20 with correction). Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances. Often drives a Devereux vehicle or van. Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated (1/2 to 3/4 of work time). Some fluctuation in temperature. Also, regularly works outside. May work in wet conditions (<1/4 of work time).
