Responsibilities: Provide individualized care, focusing on health problems and on the effects those health problems have on the clients in concert with established standards and practice guidelines. Serves as an educator to clients and their families regarding the details of health problems, medications, and other health care related topics.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PA Children’s IDD Services, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, provides a variety of assessment, treatment, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges.

EDUCATION: Graduation from a board approved master’s level nurse practitioner program with specialty training in psychiatric/mental health. Current valid license as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with prescriptive authority in Pennsylvania.
Requires 1-2 years of psych CRNP clinical experience.
Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health needs required. Experience in working independently in the assessment and treatment of medical problems with children and adolescents. Relevant clinical competence must be evidenced by direct clinical care experience, continuing education credits and letters of reference attesting to these specific skills. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office applications and data collecting/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
