Description

Are you able to lead, influence, and direct a team in the areas of direct nursing care? We are hiring a full-time Nurse Manager for our IDD/ASD residential program located in West Chester, PA.

Everyday as a Nurse Manager you will...

  • Ensure the safety and well being of the children in our care

  • Act as a liaison and communicate with the psychiatric, medial and treatment teams

  • Manage the center's nursing activities to assure the highest quality of nursing services

  • Supervise and coach the nursing team

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a valid license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience in a healthcare facility, preferably working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or psychiatric illnesses. One year of supervisory experience required.

  • Valid driver's license must be maintained.

  • At least 21 years of age per licensing standards.

  • Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office applications and data collecting/analyzing platforms, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

  • The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires staff without an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated to be employed in this program. If you are fully vaccinated, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to starting.
