Being a Night Supervisor has its benefits.
As a Night Supervisor at Devereux’s Children’s IDD programs you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer an environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused. This position allows you to work an overnight schedule to meet your personal needs. Our environment is fast paced, ever changing and offers a sense of personal satisfaction and self fulfillment while serving as a key member of a treatment team.
Conducts approved fire drills and/or other simulated catastrophe procedures.
Assists as staff implement residential/recreational/other programs consistent with shift requirements; completes night monitoring assessments.
Supervises staff activity with clients.
Attends staff meetings, management meetings, and in-service training programs as scheduled.
Demonstrates a degree of understanding of and implementation of applicable external controls such as, but not limited to, local licensing authorities, JCAHO, and managed care procedures.
Demonstrates ability to establish systems and measures to ensure a safe environment, identify risk to applicable customers and take appropriate interventions.
Responsible for responding to emergency situations and implementing appropriate procedures.
Demonstrates ability to investigate, intervene and resolve complaints as well as seek appropriate resources to solve problems.
Actively participates to reinforce a safe environment and implement changes within scope of responsibility.
Conducts scheduled tours of center facilities to ensure safety/security: determines that premises are free of hazards; ascertains that utilities and emergency equipment are available and functional; ensures that approved security procedures are in effect e.g. buildings/are locked, alarms set and alert staff are in assigned residence(s) /recreation area (s).
Corrects and reports per center policy, all irregularities immediately; records as such in shift log. Has access to on-call staff and fire, police, hospital, et al.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health PA Children’s IDD Services, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania , provides a variety of assessment, treatment, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience working with individuals with mental retardation, developmental disabilities, and/or mental health disorders. Valid driver's license must be maintained. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills. Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
