The Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (CIDDS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults – from birth to age 21 – with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral and emotional disorders. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, and emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community. CIDDS services include two Approved Private Day schools, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and a full-time residential program.

We are currently seeking a FT RN/Infection Preventionist to work out of our main campus location on Boot Road in West Chester, PA. This position will ensure public safety and center compliance with state and federal regulations regarding monitoring and treating infections, administering vaccinations and completing all necessary reporting requirements, in addition to functioning some days doing direct nursing care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Pennsylvania RN license required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Previous clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting required. Experience with Infection Prevention policy,procedures, audits and guidelines preferred. Candidates should have experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioralchallenges or medically complex conditions. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience withdata collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to theposition). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained
