Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pennsylvania Children’s IDD Services (CIDDS), located in West Chester, PA ,provides a variety of assessment, treatment, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges. CIDDS services include: two Approved Private Day schools, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, therapeutic foster care and a full-time residential program.

Master's Degree required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and have a license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in a healthcare facility, preferably working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or psychiatric illnesses. At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Valid Driver's License required and must be over the age of 21.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

Physical Requirements: Seldom requires sitting. Regularly requires walking, standing, and stooping/bending (1/2-3/4 of the workday). Often lifts up to 50 lbs (1/4- 1/2 of the workday). Regularly uses of office equipment often requiring repetitive wrist/hand movement. Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate with co-workers and stakeholders in person and via telephone. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
Work Environment: Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of Protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask protective eye-wear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Some degree of physical involvement in exercise of Safe and Positive Approaches.
