In this role, you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Directs Center nursing activities to assure the delivery of quality nursing services, in accordance with established nursing procedures, regulatory requirements, Devereux Standards of Care and best practices.

  • Serves as a nursing expert and guides staff to implement a program focusing on high quality health care services. Provides leadership, training, and ongoing support to nursing staff.

  • Maintains adequate workforce and staffing levels to ensure compliance to quality of care and ratios.

  • Establishes and updates nursing policies and procedures; updates existing polices as needed.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments including medical, admissions, operations, quality management, etc.

  • Participates in regulatory site visits, investigations and quality management initiatives

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in Glenmoore, West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, our services provided include residential psychiatric treatment (PRTF), Residential Treatment (RTF), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Must have RN license in state of Pennsylvania.

  • Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience in a health care facility, preferably working with children's behavioral health or inpatient psychiatric.

  • At least three (3) years supervisory experience required.

  • Requires demonstrated leadership abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft applications.

  • Must possess and maintain valid driver's license, and be at least 21 years of age.

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
