Devereux Community Services currently has openings for part-time Behavioral Specialist Consultants in Chester County.
The BSC develops, assesses, oversees, implements and monitors individualized Behavior Support Plans(BSPs) of the assigned BHRS child and/or adolescent. Conducts appropriate assessments (including functional behavioral assessments) to develop or modify BSPs, as well as determine the efficacy of each plan through data collection and analyses.Acts as a consultant to the child's team (family, school, and any additional BHRS members, including TSS and MT). Trains team in the necessary intervention techniques so that plans can be correctly implemented and ensures transfer of skills to the child's natural supports in the least restrictive environment. Provides feedback to team and MCO regarding the progress of the child/adolescent.Devereux Behavioral Health Rehabilitation(BHRS) Services are available to residents of Chester County. These services are provided to children and adolescents between the ages of two and 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with the goal of treating the individual in his or her home, school and community. BHRS is a process that strives to create positive outcomes – such as problem solving and coping skills - for the child through a structured and individualized process that is family-centered and culturally competent. Our staff works as a team with the individual's family members to provide them with the tools needed to help the individual succeed in his or her environment. We also seek to build a family's natural supports-their network of social and community relationships (such as teachers, coaches and friends) that can be a source of strength for the child and family.

Education : Master's degree in psychology, special education, or related human services field required. Licensed in the following: Licensed Behavior Specialist Consultant (LBS); Licensed Social Worker (LSW); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); MFT, Licensed Psychologist.
Experience: Must have strong applied behavior analysis skills and significant experience working with children/adolescents with intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorder. Significant experience writing Positive Behavior support plans and conducting FBAs, and training staff also required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires strong data collection utilizing computer applications. Ability to be adaptable, flexible and change activities quickly. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access) and database management. Valid driver's license must be maintained.
