In this Behavior Consultant role, you will work with individuals between the ages of 2-21 along the autism spectrum. This is a community-based opportunity, therefore you will treat individuals in his or her home, school and/or community setting in Chester/Montgomery/Delaware County. This is a full time position.

Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

Develops, assesses, oversees, implements, and monitors Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) of the

assigned IBHS child and/or adolescent. Conducts appropriate assessments (including functional behavioral

assessments) to develop or modify ITPs, as well as determine the efficacy of each plan through data

collection and analyses. Acts as a consultant to the child's team (family, school, and any additional IBHS

members, including BHT and MT). Trains team in the necessary intervention techniques so that plans can

be correctly implemented and ensures transfer of skills to the child's natural supports in the least restrictive

environment. Provides feedback to team and MCO regarding the progress of the child/adole scent.

Compensation up to $65,000/year

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in psychology, special education, or related human services field required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires strong data collection utilizing computer applications. Ability to be adaptable, flexible and change activities quickly. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access) and database management. Valid driver's license must be maintained. One of the following criteria must be met to provide individual services through behavior consultation

One of the following criteria must be met to provide individual services through behavior consultation:

  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a behavior specialist.

  • Have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National

Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.

  • Have a graduate degree in ABA from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States

Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or have an equivalent degree from a foreign

college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National

Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed

evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.

  • Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young

adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling from a college or university accredited by

an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or an

equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential

Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general

equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.

  • Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work,

education, counseling or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the Unite d States

Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or have an equivalent degree from a foreign

college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National

Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed

evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
