Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a highly visible and impactful leader to provide oversight of The Glenholme School, a therapeutic boarding and day school for adolescents and young adults in Washington, Connecticut. Anticipated start date: September 2018 (may be sooner based on operational need).
With an operating budget of $10 million and 110 dedicated employees, this key position is responsible for ensuring that quality programming, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, organizational development / fundraising activities and anticipated needs of internal and external customers are met. Also, key to this position is the development of a positive work environment to attract and retain a stable progressive, caring and diverse workforce, needed to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective services. As Glenholme operates significantly using private funding, the Executive Director is responsible for increased referrals through educational consultants, as well as increased family placement from a national and international market. Furthermore, he or she is responsible for fundraising and advisory board activities. Finally, the Executive Director will oversee the development and implementation of strategies to address changing markets and assist in the implementation of positive consumer and community awareness programs and activities.

Master’s Degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Business Administration or other related field. Graduate level credentials in Behavioral Health preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a senior level management role with Devereux, or a comparable organization, preferably overseeing the delivery of therapeutic boarding or educational programs.
Experience in business development, fundraising, and community relations.
Strong administrative, programmatic, analytic and operational experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment environment.
Exceptional communication, organizational and customer service skills.

Highly knowledgeable in the special education field and/or behavioral treatment models.
Understands the platforms of external marketing, and has the ability to attain and maintain multiple levels of relationships, community leaders, political landscape, etc.
Experience in managing multiple levels of individuals/ groups and ability to teach and cultivate talent.
Knowledgeable in education law, IDEA, FAPE and the laws surrounding such.
