Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Vice President of Quality Improvement in United States

Description

The Vice President of Quality Improvement serves as a key leader in overseeing all aspects of planning, developing and executing quality assurance policies, and initiatives, including implementing performance plans for clinical areas and risk management. This role will report to Devereux’s Senior Vice President, Chief Risk and Safety Officer and is a full-time remote position, with some travel to our Villanova office as needed.

As part of Devereux's senior leadership team, you will be tasked with leading the QI components of an industry leading quality and safety enhancement project, that includes but not limited to, enhancing organization quality and safety protocols, including use of more sophisticated technology and data intelligence and collaborating on implementation.

In addition, you will:

  • Coordinate and lead efforts to ensure that the quality of clinical care meets evidence based practice guidelines.

  • Work to further improve systems of care delivery, minimize errors and eliminate preventable harm and monitor Individuals’ safety through the development and use of data acquisition, and scorecard development.

  • Assure appropriate outcomes measurement for performance improvement plans for the organization - incorporating the mission, vision and core values of the organization, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop ongoing relationships with administrative staff, clinical and support departments and their directors as well as the education of staff.

  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, responding to complaints, supporting quality related strategic planning and goal setting and helping achieve annual goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or Health Care or related field required.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of related risk management background in a behavioral health setting at a senior management level.

  • Must have experience with risk management processes including clinical investigation, reporting and prevention strategies, loss control, safety, injury, illness and prevention strategies.

  • Experience in successfully leading quality, performance improvement across the full continuum, including all program services provided.

  • Experience working in partnership with multiple constituents throughout an organization, including achieving consensus through presentations, thought leadership, partnership and relationship building.

  • Working knowledge of applicable standards and requirements of regulatory, accreditation and licensing agencies.

  • Knowledge of national trends and key issues related to quality, performance improvement, patient safety and population health.
