Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health National Director Quality Improvement in Villanova, Pennsylvania

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a highly collaborative and experienced leader for our Quality Improvement department, based in Villanova, PA. Reporting to Devereux’s SVP, Organizational Development, this position will have the primary responsibilities for direct oversight and strategic direction of the National Quality Improvement (NQI) team.

The National Quality Improvement Director will

  • Act as a liaison to the Centers to ensure supports are in place and deployed as needed.

  • Direct team on strategic and tactical initiatives with regard to Quality Improvement.

  • Provide development, coordination and oversight of enterprise-wide QI processes. These include, but are not limited to, ongoing revision and implementation of QI plans, both national and local, development and sustainability of standardized measurement tools, oversight of National QI reviews at centers, support with national Peer Review processes, oversight of QI data initiatives and policy creation and revision.

  • Support with Value-Based Purchasing initiatives and is a core member of the National Risk Management Committee. Creates processes for clear expectations and communication within QI.

  • Collaborate on an ongoing basis with clinical, operations, local QI, Legal, Compliance and People Operations (HR) to ensure reduction of duplication of efforts and identification of trends requiring systemic intervention.

  • Build internal competencies on accreditation and licensure standards.

  • Implementing social distancing protocols across all programs

  • Ensuring daily temperature and symptom screenings for all staff and clients

Throughout the pandemic, Devereux has also supported the physical and financial health of our dedicated team members - our very own Healthcare Heroes. A variety of options have been implemented over time to support our staff, including the provision of:

  • Ongoing dedication bonuses, as well as sign-on bonuses, for direct support professionals (DSP) and other staff members

  • Flexible schedules, remote working where possible, and redeployment between programs and services

  • Hazard pay for those supporting quarantined individuals and shelter away services to frontline staff, when needed, to mitigate spread to families

  • Advancing paid time off and sick time; eliminating telemedicine costs over a period of time

Qualifications

  • Masters’ degree in a clinical field. Consideration will be given for candidates with 8+ years’ experience in QI in a Behavioral Health setting with alternate degrees;

  • Minimum of six years’ experience in quality improvement, preferably within the behavioral health setting;

  • Experience in data analysis and trending, creation/design and implementation of QI processes and systems and formal program evaluation;

  • Supervisory experience required;

  • Knowledge and understanding of accreditation process;

  • Possesses excellent written/oral communication, relationship building and supervision skills;

  • Consultant mind-set needed.
