The Business Development Coordinator (School-based Services) will support and assist team members, programs and clients as an initial resource and subject matter expert and, work directly with provider reps in resolving any items, preventing proper claims payment.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Create A/R systems and communication plans for all education consulting and unit billing functions; Monitor and analyzes monthly accounts receivables building strong relationships with funding agencies and other payers that foster strong business relationships;

  • Identify trends and problem areas and initiate support to Education Services to affect improvements in accounts receivable management and collection results

  • Assists National Education Operations Manager in the development of monthly and annual budgets and budget presentations;

  • Review monthly departmental expenses and revenues associated with consultation and professional development activities;

  • Develop, maintain and manage data and performs financial data collection and analysis, monitors revenues for informed business decisions;

  • Serves as primary liaison with People Operations for the collection of required credentials and monitors FTEs for all Education Consulting units; Ensures continuous flow of information to appropriate parties to ensure adherence to compliance standards;

  • Works with the legal department and education consulting units in drafting and managing monthly, annual and multi-year revenue contracts with school districts, grants and other external parties; Prepares contracts for independent contractors and vendors.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health’s Education Services team focuses its efforts on Servant Leadership and delivering the best possible People Operations experience to our exceptional employees. This position reports to the National Education Operations Manager, and supports education programs as needed, located in 13 states.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, finance, project management or related field;

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business, project management or related field preferred;

  • Demonstrated professional writing and marketing experience required;

  • Strong computer skills including Excel and Word required, PowerPoint preferred; Experience with web-based technologies e.g., , Constant Contact, WordPress, Quickbase preferred;

  • Strong analytical, writing and oral presentation skills;

  • Excellent customer service;

  • Accounts Receivables, preferably in a health care or behavioral health environment;

  • Must be able to direct and control regionalized billing and record keeping functions;

  • Ability to work independently and also collaborate and communicate with co-workers/departments/centers to increase efficiency and enhance the team’s time management, meet established deadlines, and identify and prioritize multiple tasks to assure timely completion;

  • Experience with automated billing systems;

  • The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires unvaccinated staff without a medical or religious exemption must receive the first dose of a two-step vaccine or a one-dose vaccine no later than January 27, 2022 and achieve full vaccination no later than February 28, 2022 .
