Currently, nearly 17,000 Arizona children have been placed in the foster care system due to abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. Devereux Arizona trains and licenses individuals to become foster parents for children from birth to 18 years of age. We provide both traditional and therapeutic foster care in Tucson (Pima County) and Phoenix (Maricopa County). Our foster care programs include traditional foster care, kinship care and therapeutic foster care.
Located in Tucson, AZ the Licensing and Learning Specialist Provides education and training to Foster Care Applicants/Providers. Ensures compliance with contractual, licensing, funding agencies, and Devereux requirements.
*This is a tempoary position with the possibility to become permanent.

Our Ideal Candidate:
MUST be able to work Tuesday-Saturday
A Bachelor’s degree in education, behavioral health, child welfare or related field is required.
One (1) year of experience required.
Experience in facilitating training is preferred.
Current certification in Foster Parent College and CPR/First Aid is preferred.
Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check
Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
