Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Lead Behavioral Health Technician in Tucson, Arizona

Hiring Bonus: $500

Position Details:

Pay Range: $18 - $19.80 / hr.

Located in Tucson AZ, Devereux’s Brief Intervention Program (BIP) serves children ages 9-17 who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. This behavioral health residential facility offers 24-hour supervision and therapeutic services to individuals in the Program. The BIP features living facilities, education/schooling, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.

Lead Behavioral Health Technicians coordinate and maintain a therapeutic environment for a residential setting. This position protects the health and safety of individuals, and assists Program Coordinators with the supervising, planning, and implementation of program activities while managing children’s behaviors. Lead BHTs serve as a role model,mentor, and leader, while having fun with program individuals doing various year-round activities and center programming. The Lead BHT will assist and support the planning, implementation, and documentation of those activities designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals.This position also serves as a role model, mentor, leader, and/or trainer to Direct Care Professional staff.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred

  • One (1) year of Devereux experience or two (2) years of work experience in behavioral health service delivery

  • Supervisory experience preferred

OTHER:

  • Valid Driver's license is required to transport clients

  • Must be able to pass 39-month DMV check

  • Must possess (or have the ability to obtain) a AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance card with NO restrictions

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
