Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Behavioral Health Technician (Residential) in Tucson, Arizona

Description

Position Details:

Pay Range: $17.00-18.70/hr. depending on experience/education

Hiring Bonus: $1,000 (full time)

Current Full Time Shifts: Days! *Schedules are subject to change

Located in Tucson AZ, Our Brief Intervention Program is a short-term residential facility which provides enhanced residential services to male and female adolescents ages 12-17. They stay up to 30 days in our structured treatment setting which includes 24-hour supervision and therapeutic services. This program is designed for adolescents who are in crisis, requiring active treatment in an environment with a high degree of oversight, intensive programming, and treatment.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will protect the health and safety of clients while supervising and implementing program activities and managing client’s behaviors. Behavioral Health Techs, read and implement each individualized treatment plan and assist in planning programming. As a Behavioral Health Tech, you will be an active team member in carrying out treatment goals and participate as a member of the team and maintain a team environment

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • HS diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred

  • Previous experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotional needs

OTHER:

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

  • Must be able to complete and provide proof of current influenza vaccination

  • Must be available to attend 2 weeks of required training (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
