Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides services for children and families in the child welfare system, to ensure a community without abuse, neglect and abandonment so all children grow to their full potential. Based out of Tampa, FL and providing coverage to Hillsborough Co., this position is responsible for coordinating all services rendered to, and acting as a single and continuous point of contact for, the child or family until reunification is complete, transfer to adoption achieved or independent living is realized. The case manager represents in court appointments, assists with medical appointments, family visitations, and coordination of information and resources with the CPI, the family and caregivers. This position may transport clients, and some transports may occur after 5pm.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in social work or related field, as defined by Florida Statute 65C-15.017. Related degrees include sociology, psychology, human services, counseling, human development, child development, family development, marriage and family therapy, special education, education, criminology, juvenile justice, or nursing.

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field preferred

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience working in child welfare is preferred.

  • Prior case management experience in Adoptions or Permanency Programs strongly preferred.

  • Certified as a Child Welfare Case Manager by the state of Florida required

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Florida Driver's License

  • On-call rotation

Schedule:

  • Must be able to complete a 3-Day new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
