The Admissions Specialist position is a remote position and reports directly to the Marketing Director.
As our Admissions Specialist at Devereux New Jersey YOU will:
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources; Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Support Coordinator agencies, Children's System of Care/CMO's and Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP).
Manage admission inquiries and referrals for assigned Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities programs and Behavioral Health through emails, referral database.
Obtain all necessary clinical and financial information to determine admission potential, evaluates all admission paperwork
Schedule meet and greets with potential admissions
Responsible for tracking inquiries/referrals daily, weekly, and monthly and analyzing trends using reports and tools to target additional business.
Ensure follow-up with all referral sources for admissions
Understanding of overall Behavioral Health Care environment and overall admissions process.
Excellent organization and time-management.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Knowledge and experience with payer sources.
Ability to prioritize multi-tasking with changing priorities.
Experience with Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn company specific systems.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey touches the lives of nearly 500 children, adolescents and adults, and their families, across the state. Individuals with emotional, behavioral and cognitive disabilities, including autism, are served through a broad spectrum of treatment settings, including community-based homes and supported apartments, vocational training programs, family care homes, and consulting services.

Education : Bachelor’s degree in health-care, behavioral health or related field
Minimum of two years’ experience in admissions and experience in working directly with individuals with emotional, behavioral and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic foster care, residential and/or day program setting preferred.
Demonstrates knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and other database management tools.
Must demonstrate a commitment to a team environment, and have strong problem solving and analytic skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requires an ability to work independently and within a team environment. Possesses the ability to make prompt and accurate decisions.
Must have strong time management skills; attention to detail; be flexible andpossess exceptional customer service skills.
