Located in Scottsdale, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona’s Respite program provides temporary rest or relief. The goal of respite care is to successfully provide an interval of rest for clients and their primary caregivers without disruption or compromise to their home environments. Through the Respite program, the kids get to enjoy group activities and go on field trips to museums, roller skating, movies, and more! In this role you will need have an energetic and creative approach while working with our kids, showing compassion and being a problem-solver to create a safe environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the program are operating efficiently and in accordance with Devereux’s policies and procedures, Philosophy of Care, and Core Values.

As a Program Coordinator, you will oversee day to day operational funtions of the Respite Programs while ensuring a safe, clean and therapeutic environment. The PC serves as the respite program liaison to external agencies, parents, and other referrals. This position coordinates respite services to clients referred by contracted community agencies. PC's also provide supervision and support to direct care professionals working the respite program, as well as working with all clients in the respite homes as needed.

  • Schedules:

  • Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm (weekdays during school breaks)

  • Sunday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm (weekdays during school breaks)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Services or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with five (5) years related experience required

  • Two years related experience

  • One year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred (in special circumstances,extensive experience may substitute for education)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

  • Basic computer skills required in WordPerfect, Excel and Microsoft Word


  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

  • Ability to attend full time, paid, new hire orientation Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
