Being a Pool Registered Nurse (Overnight) for our Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has its Advantages!

  • Starting salary $38-45.80 per hour (compensation based on experience/education plus shift differentials!)

  • Shift Differentials: $2.00 shift differential 2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm, 7 days a week OR $4 shift differential 11:00pm - 7:00am, 7 days a week

  • Devereux will pay for your license renewal CEUs as part of our nurse continuing education program

  • Schedule: 10:00pm - 8:00am

Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24-hour RTC and Therapeutic School, has the capacity to serve 48 children. The RTC is a safe and supportive environment that provides youth, from the ages of five to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral or substance abuse challenges. We also provide an on-site accredited K-12 therapeutic school, which offers an academic curriculum while students receive intensive behavioral and emotional support.

As a Pool Registered Nurse, you will provide direct daily medical management of adolescent population, as well as provide, review, and follow-up to medical providers as to the effectiveness and/or possible side effects noted of each medication administered. This position will also provide supervision regarding safety issues/crisis intervention of client population, infection control protocols, and general overall medical management. The RN will maintain effective communication with all departments involved with direct client care and provide education/training of direct care personnel involved with the Medication Technician Certification Program at the Group Home Level.

Qualifications

  • Current valid RN license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions required

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required , Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Six (6) months nursing experience required

  • Previous behavioral health experience with children/adolescents or pediatric nursing preferred

  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to attend New Hire Orientation Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

  • Must be able to complete and provide proof of current influenza vaccination

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
