Position Details:

Pay Range: $19.00-$22.90/hr. (compensation based on experience/education and applicable shift differentials)

Shit Differentials: $1/hr. 3pm-11pm and $2/hr. 11pm-7am, 7 days/wk.

Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 10:30pm-8:30am

Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24-hour RTC and Therapeutic School, has the capacity to serve 48 children. The RTC is a safe and supportive environment that provides youth, from the ages of 5 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral or substance abuse challenges. We also provide an on-site accredited K-12 therapeutic school, which offers an academic curriculum while students receive intensive behavioral and emotional support.

Lead Behavioral Health Technicians c oordinate the establishment and maintenance of a therapeutic environment in a residential setting. This position protects the health and safety of clients, assisting the Residential Operations Coordinator with the supervising, planning, and implementing of program activities and managing children’s behaviors. This position also serves as a role model, mentor, leader, and/or trainer to Direct Care Professional staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred

• Six (6) months Devereux experience OR one (1) year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery.

• Supervisory experience preferred

OTHER:

• Valid Driver's license is required to transport clients

• Must possess (or have the ability to obtain) a AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance card with NO restrictions

• Must be able to pass 39-month DMV check

• Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

• Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

• Must be able to complete and provide proof of current influenza vaccination

• Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
