Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (Part Time) in Scottsdale, Arizona

Hiring Bonus: $250

Position Details:

Pay Range: $23 - $25.30 / hr

Shift Differential: $2/hr. 3pm-11pm and $4/hr. 11pm-7am, 7 days a week!

Schedule: Flexible part time evening shifts! *Schedules are subject to change

Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24-hour RTC and Therapeutic School, has the capacity to serve 48 children. The RTC is a safe and supportive environment that provides youth, from the ages of 5 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.

As an LPN at Devereux, you will demonstrate an understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and apply them to working with a child/adolescent population. The LPN demonstrates the skills, knowledge, and ability to understand and implement regulatory guidelines and professional standards. This position contributes to the assessment of individual’s conditions, identifies problems, provides appropriate treatment of medical conditions, communicates medical information to registered nurses, physicians, and treatment team members, and maintains related documentation. The LPN also administers medications according to the standards and criteria established by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current valid license to practice as an LPN in Arizona with no restrictions required

  • One (1) year of nursing experience in a behavioral health care setting or experience working in another position with psychiatric population in a group home or residential facility preferred

  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and multitasking skills

OTHER:

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions ( OR eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results 

  • Must attend the two (2) weeks of paid New Hire Orientation; Mon-Fri (8:30am-5:00pm) followed by on the job training

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
