The Residential Director is responsible for the overall functioning of the program, assures the smooth operation. Develops, administers, and coordinates programming for residential units and programs for the Center. Provides a vision for Program that includes respect, honesty, responsibility, fairness, caring and collaboration.
Responsible for the overall functioning of the department/departments.
Accountable for staff retention, collaborates effectively with other departments, and conducts effective meetings/supervisions.
Creates an environment in which staff and students feel valued and appreciated.
Serves as a model of respect, directness, and collaboration in dealings with students, families, and staff.
Advocates for the highest quality treatment standards.
Improves services so that are better aligned with the Devereux Foundation Philosophy of Care, Devereux Foundation clinical quality standards, Devereux Massachusetts Program Model, evidence-based assessment and treatment, and recognized best practices.
Utilizes a systematic process for ongoing quality improvement of the therapeutic milieu in the program.
Participates in Quality Management initiatives including but not limited to monthly QM meetings and team specific QI improvement plans.
All staff assessments are completed on-time.
Supervisor sets clear performance expectations with staff, provides training, and uses prompts, modeling, and management by walking around to promote effective performance.
Conducts observations and provides timely feedback and praise or coaching to help staff achieve competency in essential skills.
Demonstrates that corrective action and/or development plans are consistently developed, adhered to and appropriate follow-up is taken.
Exhibits effective conflict resolution skills and directs team in a fair and supportive manner.
Further, demonstrates that human resources policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied.
Demonstrates ability to enhance supervisory / staff communications by documenting that team meetings are conducted and communication occurs consistently with direct reports.

MS or MA in related field required
Five years of related supervisory experience with strong treatment orientation and programmatic development experience.
