Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Day School is a private, day and residential school for students between the ages of 6-21 years and is fully approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Students with behavioral, emotional and learning disabilities are offered individualized assessment and planning in a supportive environment in order to identify their needs and strengths
Under the supervision of the Assistant Executive Director, the position will assures the successful implementation of MA Curriculum Frameworks and instructional strategies for a diverse student population. You will serve as Individual Education Plan (IEP) coordinator and ensure DESE regulation compliance.The position is also responsible for developing and refining a broad continuum of educational and vocational programs.
Other responsibilities include:
Providing supervision, support and direction to teachers and aides to assure provision of effective differentiated instruction, curriculum-based assessments and data collection to monitor student progress.Implements school-wide.
Positive Behavior Intervention Support programs.
Providing training and support to teachers related to their effective supervision of instructional support staff.

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
Education : Master’s Degree in Education or related field. Licensed by the Department of Education as Principal or Administrator of Special Education.
Experience : Minimum of three years of experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
