Description

If working in an intensive group home located on the Devereux campus with boys ages 14-22 providing students an opportunity to further develop and practice their social, coping, relapse prevention, and independent living skills sounds rewarding to you then this is the job for you!

Starting at $16.80 to $19.65 depending on relevant experience and education

As a Direct Care Professional, with a 1 staff to 3 students ratio, this program offers a higher level of individualized care. Through individualized community integration plans, students will also have the opportunity to be able to generalize learned skills! Residential staff design house-specific routines, chores, and activities that support an individual's growth and development.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts and Rhode Island serves students with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. Located on our main campus in Rutland, MA, this position is responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned and provides and ensures therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Drivers license required.

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or High-school diploma with relevant human services experience required. Academic studies in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, and education are highly desirable.

  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.

  • Must be able to attend a 2 week paid orientation, which runs Monday-Friday, 8AM to 4PM.

  • Evening Shifts: 3pm - 11pm

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse, and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.
