Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a highly visible and impactful servant leader with experience to provide oversight of our Massachusetts-Rhode Island programs and services for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Salary range from $115,000 - $131,100. Rate will be determinedbased on education and years of experience in the field

The Assistant Executive Director Oversees all operational aspects of the MA & RI center, by providing supervision and guidance to division leaders of Nursing, Residential, Group Homes, Foster Care, and Education. Responsible for ensuring that programs maintain budgeted census and have solid FTE controls in order to achieve strong fiscal health. Collaboratively works with the Director of QI and Director of Clinical Services to increase service quality and mitigate risk.

  • Create a vision, plan and implementation strategy, aligned with Devereux’s mission and vision;

  • Manage implementation of new programs and services;

  • Identify business opportunities for organizational growth to enhance financial strength and contribution margin, as well as create non-operating revenue;

  • Implement long-term revenue, cost and donor strategies that align with corporate objectives;

  • Create a culture and system that capitalizes on the diversity of our employees, that will attract, develop and retain the best employees;

  • Ensure training is provided that meets regulatory and agency requirements, and strategically supports internal development of employees at all levels to address future business needs;

  • Influence business practices and policy by creating new ventures or building on existing advantage;

  • Possess expert knowledge of current and future cost drivers in the industry;

  • Work collaboratively with Devereux’s senior leadership, as well as with internal and external stakeholders.

The Assistant Executive Director reports directly to the Executive Director and will be located in our Administrative offices in Rutland, MA . This position requires local travel between programs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Master's Degree required

  • 5 years Administrative & Supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare, human services, or education setting required

  • Requires strong administrative, programmatic and operational experience in a multi –site, multi-disciplinary, community-based treatment environment.

  • Must demonstrate a highly collaborative management style, as well as an ability to make timely and sound critical decisions.

  • Completion of the Diana Screening Assessment during the interview process

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
