Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Red Hook, NY, this position is responsible for developing and monitoring the implementation of vocational training programs for the individuals that we serve. They will design vocational curricula and training projects and will meet with appropriate personnel to identify work training sites, functional work activities, and specify job markets. The Vocational Coordinator will design systems to measure the progress of students and the success of the training program initiatives.

Bachelors Degree required, preferably in education, social work, sociology, or psychology. Will consider a candidate currently enrolled in a BS/BA program.**
Prior experience in a coordination role required. At least three years experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities is required. Graduate work in sociology, counseling, or a related field may be considered as a substitute for experience.**
Requirements: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 50 lbs. or more required.**
