Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Red Hook, NY, this position will make regular rounds throughout shift to each individual residence, making sure all NDSPs are alert and adhering to overnight expectations. They will assist with new staff orientation, taking on a mentor role to new NDSPs. They will communicate concerns to the EOD and assume EOD duties as necessary. When not assuming the EOD duty, they will assume coverage in an assigned dorm at the direction of the EOD.

Qualifications

  • Have a High School Diploma/GED.

  • One year experience in a similar residential program required.

  • Have a Valid NY Driver's License.

  • Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.

  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
