Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adultswith intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, NY, this position is responsible for organizing and facilitating performance improvement within the New York Center in accordance with Devereux standards and best practices, along with federal, state, local, and funder requirements. They will provide technical assistance, research and guidance to Center management, supervisors and staff in efforts to improve provision of quality services, communications, and ensure compliance. They will provide support to Center/leadership team by participating in accreditation, licensing and other regulatory agency surveys as needed, and assist in the preparation of performance improvement action plans as required. They will review regulatory updates and, in conjunction with responsible leadership member(s), ensure implementation. The Director oversees and ensures operationalization of corporate compliance activities including but not limited to: best practices, quality site review standards, training, credentialing of professional staff and certification of trainers, participates in national site reviews, and participates in National/Regional QA/QI meetings.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree preferred with applicable Human Service field experience. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a Human Services program. Preference for individual with previous QA/QI experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting of 20 lbs. or more is required.

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires staff without an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated to be employed in this program.
