Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, those along the Autism Spectrum Disorder, and with dual diagnoses. Located at our upstate main campus in Red Hook, NY, this position will be responsible for the development, supervision, and evaluation of clinical services for residential programs (to include supports for our adult group home programs). They will provide leadership and contribute to the development of the total program philosophy and vision for NY center's clinical services, and the treatment team process, including consultation with individual teams and/or departments and staff regarding challenging or complex treatment issues. The Director will ensure policies and procedures meet state regulatory requirements and Devereux standards, and recommend policies essential to the needs of exceptional individuals. They will support professional development opportunities to enable staff to better serve the needs of the individuals we support.

  • Due to Covid-19 protocols, this position is temporarily remote with the intent to have an office at our Red Hook Program.

All Devereux centers have formal infectious-disease and emergency-management plans, which have been tailored to address the unique aspects of COVID-19 prevention to ensure the safety of our employees and individuals served. This includes social distancing, increased professional cleaning and sanitizations, daily contact with local health departments, telehealth programs and supporting the physical and financial health of our team members.

Our ideal candidate must possess a Doctorate (preferably Ph.D. or Psy.D.) degree and must be a NYS licensed psychologist. BCBA certification preferred.

Candidates possesing both LCSW with BCBA will also be considered.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a relevant field. Supervisory skills & experience working with developmentally disabled individuals required. Experience with applied behavior analysis is required. Certification in ABA and training experience preferred. Strong clinical background and good communication and interpersonal skills required.
