Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Director of Quality and Compliance in Phoenix, Arizona

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona is currently seeking our next Director of Quality and Compliance to join our leadership team.Based out of our central Phoenix location, the Director will support the Compliance and Quality Management program for behavioral and physical health services. This position will monitor compliance with all accrediting, licensing, and regulatory bodies. Serve as the HIPAA/Privacy officer and Risk Manager for Devereux Arizona. Serves as standing member of the Senior Leadership Team. 

Our ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and compliance/risk management experience in a health care setting (hospitals, primary care providers, nursing), as well as supervisory experience. Previous behavioral health experience a plus!

What Opportunities Will This Role Offer You?

  • Contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team. 

  • Assist in the growth and development of Devereux’s integrated health services.

  • Collaborate with program management on Devereux National initiatives.

  • Ability to establish and enhance systems and measures to ensure a safe environment, identify risk to applicable customers and take appropriate interventions.

  • Provide direct supervision and assist in the professional development of the Coordinators and Administrative Support, as well as indirect supervision to Medical Records staff in all programs, statewide.

  • Utilize your expertise in compliance and quality management to; monitor accrediting, licensing, and regulatory bodies, ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to professional standards, and participate in internal and external investigations of abuse allegations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Master’s Degree in healthcare management/human services or Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) required

  • Previous compliance and risk management experience required.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a health care setting (hospitals, primary care providers, nursing) which includes any combination of behavioral and physical health services, required.

  • Previous supervisory experience required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of computer and statistical data base applications.

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results.
