Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona's Outpatient program offers comprehensive outpatient counseling services for individuals, families, and groups in the office, school and/or home setting. Specialties include the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Conduct Disorders, Mood Disorders, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, and Anxiety Disorders.

As a Lead Case Manager , you will provide support and mentoring to High Needs & Targeted Case Managers as needed. This position ensures the child and family team process is facilitated according to DBHS/ADHS and MCO provider guidelines. Lead Case Managers provide mentorship to High Needs & Targeted Case Managers to ensure coordination of services for individuals enrolled in the program. This position provides support and system navigation for High Needs & Targeted Case Managers and assists with Out of Home packets and escalation of referrals to MCO liaisons for enrolled clients as needed. Leads will conduct utilization reviews of subcontracted specialty services on a routine and continual basis and maintain a small case load of high needs enrolled clients.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Behavioral Health highly preferred) or will accept six (6) or more years ofdirect experience in lieu of degree. Must meet the requirements for BHT credential as defined by ADHS/DBHS.


  • Requires at least 1 year prior experience providing Case Management services. Preference of at least 1 year in leadership experience.

  • Prior experience coordinating program activities and services is preferred.

  • Individual must be competent and fluent in all DBHS practice protocols and be able to implement them (DDD, Juvenile Justice protocols, 0-5 population, transition to adulthood, etc.). Extensive knowledge of the developmental life span from 1-18 yrs. of age.

  • Demonstrate competency in specialized assessments such as the CALOCUS assessment.

  • Knowledge and background in assessment and treatment planning development is preferred. Customer service experience required.

  • Must be computer literate


  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check

  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)

  • Complete Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

  • Ability to attend full time required (paid) New Hire Orientation Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm

  • Must be able to complete and provide proof of current influenza vaccination

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
