Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Behavior Coach - Part Time in Phoenix, Arizona

Being a Part Time Behavior Coach for our Meet Me Where I Am program has its Advantages!

As a Behavior Coach, you will provide in-home remedial intervention for at-risk youth and families (working with children, youth, and adults) under the Arizona 12 Principles and in conjunction with the Child and Family Team Model. Behavior Coaches teach a variety of skills such as living, social, self-care, and household management to children adolescents, parents, and care-givers.

As a Part Time Behavior Coach at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:

  • Pay rate is $15.00/hr PLUS mileage reimbursement!

  • $1/hr. shift differential 3pm-7am Monday-Friday and weekends!

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona’s Meet Me Where I Am program provides in-home remedial intervention for at-risk youth and families identifying youth and family strengths and needs to enhance the Child and Family Team (CFT) planning process. We work with families and youths in their homes, teaching a variety of skills ranging from self-care, household management, living, and social. We are looking for talented individuals who have experience working in Behavioral Health, with families and at-risk youth to be a positive role model and impact on our families!

What is Devereux doing to support and protect the health and safety of our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic?

At Devereux, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our clients, staff and families. All Devereux centers have formal infectious-disease and emergency-management plans tailored to specifically address the unique aspects of COVID-19 prevention. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization, just a few of these precautions have included:

  • Establishing enhanced cleaning and disinfection across all campuses and sites

  • Implementing social distancing protocols across all programs

  • Using PPE, including masks, gloves and gowns as indicated by the CDC

  • Ensuring daily temperature and symptom screenings for all staff and clients

Throughout the pandemic, Devereux has also supported the physical and financial health of our dedicated team members - our very own Healthcare Heroes. A variety of options have been implemented over time to support our staff, including the provision of:

  • Ongoing dedication bonuses, as well as sign-on bonuses, for direct support professionals (DSP) and other staff members

  • Flexible schedules, remote working where possible, and redeployment between programs and services

  • Hazard pay for those supporting quarantined individuals and shelter away services to frontline staff, when needed, to mitigate spread to families

  • Advancing paid time off and sick time; eliminating telemedicine costs over a period of time

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred

  • Previous experience as a Behavior Coach highly preferred

  • Documentation and Field experience

  • Computer skills such as MS Office, email, internet, and database experience

  • Must be able to type at least 30 WPM

  • Experience working in the behavioral health field

  • Must possess (or have the ability to obtain) a AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance card with NO restrictions

  • Must be able to pass 39-month DMV check

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
