Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Foster Care, provides programs and services for youth – from infancy to 21 years of age – who have been removed from their biological families due to abuse or neglect, and who have been diagnosed with emotional, behavioral and/or cognitive differences.

As part of the Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pennsylvania continuum of care, our foster care programs operate with the belief that all individuals deserve a loving, supportive and nurturing family – and a positive home environment – to help them reach their unique potential.

Responsibilities : Plans, implements and coordinates in-service and pre-service training programs for staff and

Foster/Treatment Family parents. Monitors training to assure that employees and parents meet the training requirements of the Center, Devereux and regulatory agencies. Recruits, trains and coordinates licensing approval of Foster/Treatment Home parents to ensure that contracted capacity can be met.compliance(keeping the homes in 100% compliance annually) home inspections, home studies, collecting documents, etc.

Applicants interested in working with children will be given The Diana Screen, a computer-based screen that assesses one's understanding of appropriate interactions with children and adults.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in staff training and development, education, or related field required.

Experience : At least one year of previous experience conducting staff training and development, preferably in a health care setting. Requires instructor's certification in First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications and platform experience/skills required. Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license must be maintained.
