Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRRS), is a children’s therapeutic foster care program. Located in Newfoundland, PA and serving surrounding counties, this position is responsible for providing face to face psychotherapy to the foster child in the Host Home, natural home or other community settings. Treatment session frequency will be based on the treatment plan and child’s needs. The Therapist also meets with the treatment parent to provide supervision/support and to review treatment and progress. The Therapist will meet with the natural family or legal guardian/caregiver to work on reunification goals. In addition, the position develops, implements, monitors and evaluates programs for individuals with challenging behavior, trauma, autism, or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

EDUCATION: Related Master’s Degree in Human Services field required with coursework or practicum in applied behavior analysis or mental health. Licensed Mental Health professional preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Required experience dependent upon degree. If graduate degree in the human service field; A clinical practicum in a mental health field, 12 graduate credits in counseling, 1 years paid experience in a CASSP system providing clinically supervised treatment to children with mental illness, history of trauma, or serious emotional disturbance. If graduate mental health degree; 2 years paid experience in a CASSP system providing clinically supervised treatment to children with mental illness, history of trauma, or serious emotional disturbance OR clinical practicum in mental health.

Requires broad knowledge of healthcare organizational dynamics and delivery systems, principles and practices of quality improvement and regulatory and agency standards. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and project management skills. Requires strong data collection and analytic skills utilizing computer applications. Requries facilitation and training skills. Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and change activities quickly. Requires ability to make swift and sound decisions independently.
