Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRRS), is a children’s therapeutic foster care program. Located in Newfoundland, PA and serving surrounding counties, this position is responsible for providing face to face psychotherapy to the foster child in the Host Home, natural home or other community settings. Treatment session frequency will be based on the treatment plan and child’s needs. The Therapist also meets with the treatment parent to provide supervision/support and to review treatment and progress. The Therapist will meet with the natural family or legal guardian/caregiver to work on reunification goals. In addition, the position develops, implements, monitors and evaluates programs for individuals with challenging behavior, trauma, autism, or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Related Master’s Degree in Human Services field required with coursework or practicum in applied behavior analysis or mental health. Licensed Mental Health professional preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year paid experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and treatment to children with mental illness, history of trauma, or serious emotional disturbance. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to make sound decisions independently.
