If you answered yes, then consider joining our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health team as a full-time Clinical Director in Newfoundland, PA. As the Clinical Director, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

What Will This Opportunity Offer You?

  • Utilize your clinical expertise and experience in the field to mentor and develop our clinical team. Work collaboratively with clinicians serving a number of different specialties including community services, rapid stabilization, and psychiatric residential treatment and evolving needs of individuals in the behavioral health space.

  • Build and develop programs to support the needs of those in your community.

  • Support the center with integration of D-PBIS and Essential Skills, to be more trauma-informed and to reinforce our trauma framework.

  • Collaborate with our extensive national network of clinical professionals who offer a strong support system and are forward-thinking in their clinical practice and research.

  • Support and guidance from Dr. Yolanda Graham, Devereux's Senior VP and Chief Clinical/Chief Medical Officer, who lectures nationally and has been published widely.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides a wide array of programs and services to children, adolescents and adults – ages two through life span – with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and emotional and/or behavioral differences. Located throughout northeast Pennsylvania, Devereux Pocono is dedicated to empowering individuals to discover their innate strengths, talents and potential to live meaningful and productive lives. This role:

  • Interfaces with staff and the community to achieve optimum balance among service quality and consistency, community awareness, and effective utilization of clinical resources.

  • Provides the leadership and vision needed to deliver quality programming and treatment within Devereux standards.

  • Establishes the direction of clinical staff supervision, development programs, clinical programming for the youth in care, and working closely with all other departments to ensure clinical objectives are obtained.

  • Clinical Doctoral Degree (PsyD or PhD) required.

  • Must have Pennsylvania Psychologist license (or close to obtaining).

  • Three years progressively responsible human services experience providing clinical services, supervising services and or coordinating clinical services.

  • Extensive clinical experience with individuals with autism, intellectual/developmental disorders, as well as challenging behaviors.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent training and supervision skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast paced and demanding environment.

  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
