BCBA Position Details:

  • BCBAs report to thedesignee at the school and Devereux clinical designee

  • Grades range from Pre-K-12th grade

  • School hours, Monday-Friday from September-June

  • All Time Off Benefits based on Newark school calendar for the 2023-2024 school year

  • Additional time off includes personal days and accrued sick time

Salary: $72000

Hiring Bonus: $1500

What Devereux Looks for in YOU:

  • Conducting direct observations and consulting with teachers, case managers, and other team members on recommended classroom strategies.

  • Conducting Functional Behavior Asessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed across 14 self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) programs within general-education schools and three specialized schools throughout three wards, as well as individual school requests (schools without ASD programs) district wide.

  • Review of students to assess need of ABA treatment.

  • Staff training.

  • Review of records for consultation.

  • Participation in Individual Education Plan (IEP) plan development.

Qualifications

You'd make a great Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) if you have:

  • Masters degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education or related field.

  • Must be Certified in Behavior Analysis (BCBA).

  • Prior experience working with students with special needs.Experience with writing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans.

  • Excellent knowledge of ethics, standards, best practices, and regulations for the ABA clinical field.

  • Excellent communication and people skills.
