Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is now accepting applications for Certified Special Education Teachers for summer ESY program at our Mapleton approved private school, located in Malvern, PA.

Devereux Malvern Programs provides psychiatric residential treatment and education services for adolescent males who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges, often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree with PA Special Education Certification. Experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred.**

Physical Requirements:

Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques – upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (SPA) techniques.**
